A mainline military tank with a Chronite plated hull capable of resisting lower grade weaponry, significant health to keep operating under heavy fire, and a devastating cannon that fires explosive shells at the ground targets, coupled with splash damage from the explosions. A single Chronite Tank can stop some early-game advances, and a whole platoon of them can be an impassable wall that stops advances before they even fire the first shot.
The Chronite Tank fires explosive shells that inflict damage in a field around the initial impact, capable of quickly clearing groups of infantry units. However, Chronite Tanks are incapable of firing at airborne units above them.
Chronite Tanks deal enough damage per shot alone to kill Marines immediately, and when used in multiples against larger infantry groups, they can quickly cut down the numbers of their opposition.
Chronite armor significantly reduces incoming Infantry and Kinetic damage, found on early and mid-game units like Marines, A25-Romans, Gröditz, and Phantoms. Enough Chronite Tanks together creates a formidable wall of Chronite that prevents most ground advances.
Chronite Tanks move across the field very slowly, unable to make good evasive maneuvers for proper threats, and allowing ample time for retaliation against them. Their slow firerate also makes them susceptible to baiting.
Since Chronite Tanks lack an air weapon, Scouts, Phantoms, and other air superiority units can freely break down a Chronite line without resistance. Scouts especially ignore the defensive features Chronite armor has, making them more dangerous to the helpless tanks.
Chronite Tanks cannot handle incoming missiles from a Special Operations building. If several tanks are bunched together in a platoon, a single missile will destroy all of them and let all the resources used to make them go to waste. Avoid overcrowding Chronite Tanks when missiles are a factor.
With the Communist government, it's possible to infinitely stream Chronite Tanks from the Outpost, creating an endless line of tanks that will slow ground advances and harass the enemy base.
Amass several Chronite Tanks and gather them into a file. This way, when they advance against the enemy, they will focus their fire on the first approaching target, inflicting heavy burst damage that will ruin any non-Kinetic resistant units.
Meditecs and other backline units vulnerable to upfront engagements will hide behind units like Sphinxes and Hover Tanks to prevent such easy deaths. If Chronite Tanks are instructed to rush to the base, then switch to Hold or Advance orders when within range of the backline, they can fire into these vulnerable units, killing Meditec groups that would otherwise make the frontline insurmountable.
