A more advanced android soldier armed with an improved pulse rifle capable of clearing crowds of infantry with ease, but lacks the ability to fire at air targets. Their Special armor and higher health makes them more resilient than Marines. This unit can go toe-to-toe with Special Ops teams very well.
A26-Legionnaires are equipped with high power pulse rifles that inflict more damage per shot than A25-Romans, albeit still serving as Infantry damage and lacking air unit targeting capabilities.
With higher damage output than the A25-Roman, Legionnaires can quickly eliminate Marine groups and Special Ops teams. They can swarm very effectively.
A26-Legionnaires are notorious for their high damage output against the base when its left undefended, allowing for swift victories against unprepared opponents.
With their high infantry damage, A26-Legionnaires make an effective unit against tanky Composite armor units like the Sphinx and Jötunn, tearing through it compared to higher tier units that struggle against such units.
With their Special armor, they are resistant to at most 1 missile, making them fulfill an interesting early-game role.
Due to lacking an air weapon, A26-Legionnaires can't defend themselves against even simple threats from above like a small Scout swarm, letting air units pick them off one by one without resistance. They need something else to protect them if they want a chance to survive against any of the late-game air threats.
A26-Legionnaires dominate against infantry, but even one Chronite Tank spells trouble for them. Their weapons deal pitifully low damage to Chronite, making engagements with a Chronite Tank group fatal. A26-Legionnaires also don't fare well against Hover Tanks, dealing little damage and taking too much before they can break through a line of them.
Despite having more health than Marines and A25-Romans, as well as durable Special armor, A26-Legionnaires still suffer against large splash damage, which makes Chronite Tanks a worse matchup for them. Players should always be careful of missiles as well, two missiles aimed at a Legionnaire group is guaranteed to kill all of them.
With how effective this unit is at clearing infantry, if an opponent lets down their guard without preparing a proper defense for their infantry, this unit will spell disaster for them.
This is the main unit you will want in your ranks to deal with Spec Ops teams, as they are just strong enough to withstand their fire and have the firepower to take them down before they become too dangerous.
Sphinxes are dangerous late-game Influence units, boasting extremely high health alongside Composite armor. Most units can't handle this without high losses, but A26-Legionnaires will tear apart Sphinxes cheaply. Send in a sizable group of them to maintain survivability against the Sphinx's weaponry while providing enough firepower to overcome the high health and any possible healing the Sphinx may be receiving. If there also happen to be Jötunns supporting an offensive, these units can serve as an executioner against their Infantry-sensitive armor.
