A standard android soldier armed with a pulse rifle capable of clearing crowds of targets with ease, but lacks the ability to fire at air targets. Their Titanium armor and higher health makes them more resilient than Marines.
The A25-Roman uses a pulse rifle, effective for infantry skirmishes and penetrating Composite armor, but quickly failing against Chronite. A25-Romans also lack a form of attack against air targets.
With higher damage output and health than Outpost's Marines, as well as Titanium armor, Romans can quickly decimate Marine groups and even shrug off Sniper shots. Combined with their cheap 5 energy cost, they can swarm the early game against Outpost's infantry.
A25-Romans are notorious for their high damage output against the base when its left undefended, allowing for swift victories against unprepared opponents.
With their high infantry damage, A25-Romans make an effective cheap unit against tanky Composite armor units like the Sphinx and Jötunn, tearing through it compared to higher tier units that struggle against such units.
Due to lacking an air weapon, A25-Romans can't defend themselves against even simple threats from above like a small scout swarm, letting air units pick them off one by one without resistance. They need something else to protect them if they want a chance to survive against any of the late-game air threats.
A25-Romans dominate against infantry, but even one Chronite Tank spells trouble for them. Their weapons deal pitifully low damage to Chronite, making engagements with a Chronite Tank group fatal. A25-Romans also don't fare well against Hover Tanks, dealing little damage and taking too much before they can break through a line of them.
Despite having more health than Marines, A25-Romans still suffer against large splash damage, which makes Chronite Tanks a worse matchup for them, alongside the deadly Black Queen's ground missiles. Players should always be careful of missiles as well, one missile aimed at a Roman group is guaranteed to kill all of them.
With how cheap of a unit they are, A25-Romans can be quickly deployed en masse to gain territory for influence gain, defend against swift advances, or charge straight for the base. Having at least ten of them provides enough firepower for them to continue pressing through easier to handle units, as well as maintain enough of a presence at the enemy base to deal significant damage or destroy it.
Use the cheap cost and respectable speed of the A25-Romans to your advantage by baiting enemy shots towards them over your higher value units. Always be careful not to group all of your Romans if there's an enemy Special Operations, however, instead baiting with smaller groups at a time.
Sphinxes are dangerous late-game influence units, boasting extremely high health alongside Composite armor. Most units can't handle this without high losses, but A25-Romans will tear apart Sphinxes cheaply. Send in a sizable group of them to maintain survivability against the Sphinx's weaponry while providing enough firepower to overcome the high health and any possible healing the Sphinx may be receiving.
